Dear Sejin,

I hope this finds you well.

The AYM IT Committee (Convenor, Roger Sawkins) is beginning work on the second phase of our video project about Australian Quakers.

In 2019-20 we worked with George Underwood, a professional film maker who lives in Hobart. Although not a Quaker, George is familiar with Quakers through the Friends School and a number of F/friendships. George interviewed 6 Tasmanian Quakers to create a video for our Inquirers’ website, entitled Why Am I a Quaker?, which can be found here: https://www.quakersaustralia.org.au/ . The video served an added purpose, during the 2020 year of the pandemic, to reinforce what it means to be Quaker and the significance of community.

We had planned to add to the video with additional interviews of other Friends, and consider other aspects of Quakers last year but were unable to proceed due to the pandemic restrictions.

However, we are now reviving the Project and would like to interview several Friends in Adelaide. Your name has been suggested as a possible interviewee.

George is looking to travel to Adelaide in mid-March for the interviews, and speak to Friends over a 3 day period.

Would you be interested in being interviewed for our Project?

I look forward to hearing from you, and would be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Thank you for considering this invitation.

In peace,

Jacque
