They need to do a better job blurring the people being interviewed's faces. You can pick up on several characteristics that could nail that person down, especially if they know the city. If there's only 500 people, it's only a matter of time before they can match those attributes to a handful of workers and narrow it down from there, or just punish them all just to be safe.

Western companies operating in Europe are constantly complaining that market conditions in Europe (especially here in Scandinavia) make it impossible to compete internationally. What they mean is that wages are too high. After watching this docu you understand why.

I worked on a farm in vic Australia with Cambodian workers. They worked for one Bloke who would send the workers to the farm. All the hours were tallied up the Bloke who brings the workers gets paid all they're money then he pays them. Its a scam they should get their wages not some wanker who sends them out to work then he collects the pay for them. But thats Victoria 2015-16 i bet its still going on now.

As a Chinese, it is a shame that the Chinese companies cannot pay the money to the North Korean workers directly and fund them to North Korean central government in stead. It has nothing to do with any countries for the hiring forced North Korean labors . It is caused by the greedy business men. If they could have access to the cheap North Korean labors source ,they will hire them at 1/2 or even cheaper labor cost for sure.

"How Bizarre - How Bizarre"
Hm!  do you remember the song?

When I saw this documentary of this very strange investigative journalism I wasn't surprised at all but as a human I was embarrassed and angry to see how unscrupulous and reckless we humans are to do things like this to other humans.
 Yes, it's disgusting 🤮 .

What amazes me the most is the fact that there are still people around the world who believe that communism and/or totalitarian regimes like China, Russia and in this case North Korea are the better dominant solution.
What I mean by that are these political parties and their voters on the ultra-left and ultra-right who are supporters of these types of countries ruled by criminal, weird, anti-human groups.

I don't want to understand why we, the so-called free and democratic world, still do business with such bad organizations.  Is money 💰 really more important than ethics and decency?

Very good documentary highlighting the issue of slavary in North Korea. I doubt we will ever know the true extent of this slave trade. Big building companies are also at blame for hiring this cheap labour, there is corruption all along the chain, with other countries involved, i think its a global shame !
The north korean deflectors have my utter most respect, i cant begin to imagine the fear, not just for the deflector, but for the family left behind. I hope this awful dictorship crumbles soon. As the sanctions show, this should have no place in 2022

Sadly, yet another documentary, confirming the levels of depravity, man has exercised in exploiting the vulnerable, for personal gain. The more insight I acquire through this type of exposure, the more my faith in mankind dwindles. It's becoming overwhelmingly depressing watching the true underbelly of society, and leaves me with little hope for social redemption!

its grupe identity. Ashe`s theory of conformity has proven theres 65 % chance a person will torture and kill another person, if they are told to do so by person they consider an authority. thats because they dont want to be different from others. And when they have tortured and killed, they will blame it on the authority instead of them selves.

Jesus is returning soon! Turn away from your sins and your past and receive Him as your LORD and Saviour. The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. I pray that you may receive the Lord Jesus and that you may know Him.

Here is a prayer of salvation:

Dear Lord Jesus
I believe that You are the Son of God
I believe that You came to earth and died on the cross for my sins
I believe that You shed Your blood for my redemption
And I believe that You were buried and that You rose from the dead on the third day, and that You are now seated at the right hand of the throne of God

I am a sinner and I need You Lord
I ask that You may forgive my sins and wash me with Your blood
I repent of my ways, of my sin, and of the world
And turn whole to You today

I give You my life
I surrender all that I am and all that I have to You right now

Come into my heart Lord
Save my soul
Make me whole
Fill me with Your Holy Spirit
And enable me to live the Christian life victoriously and in its fullness

In Jesus name, amen

I don't understand what's different these foreign labour their skills to earn money to support families back home, then Asian labour in Golf states do the same. On other hand does not every pay amount of money from wages they earn call Tax or duty-bound to government to run the basic functions every citizen so that people sustain the basic needs including update on defence.

If they know their going to get exploited, used and abused, why moan afterwards, why not go in the first place, I know desperation makes people do strange things, but it's the fact they know what will be expected of them. Sad situation all round I suppose. Best of luck to poor people everywhere. Peace

God, but our species is so fucking heartless…

Everything has to be buying this that & the other as cheap as possible, without any care about where it came from.

Someone who does this sort of thing, take away their money, their family, keep them like this, and made to understand what it’s like.

I’m talking about kidnapping or something like it so they  REALLY understand this is for real.  See the way they feel after a few months.

50,000 rubles is not 1.5 times the average russian worker salary, you are taking average salary overall, but it differs for hard labor or service/sales. For skilled hard labor you can make 100,000 rubles easily, without working 12 hours shifts. If Russians were less expensive to hire there would be no reason to hire Koreans, turn on your brain.

Its a fair deal, they agreed that if they defect their family will pay the price, no body put a gun to thier head. They chose it willingly and freely. some says it is becuase they are poor in North Korea blah blah all excuse. as long as you are not dying or in direct pain, making this decision is all them.

Everyone in North Korea is a prisoner, there isn't a day goes by when your not told to stay  at home when your not on parade stay at home. There is no social life for a North Korean, can't go out can't go the the opera, all television channels which are 3.. when there working is all about the leaders, I once heard a story about a man who was in North Korea and was so bored as he couldn't do anything so he decided to visit the local zoo, and sure there were animals starved hungry but were there he came across the parotts and the bird said the words... LONG LIVE THE GREAT LEADER KIM.. now I can't prove this but I certainly don't disprove it... Its a horrible place. Children marching to school every morning with pictures of the leader..
