I have discussed with some of you (but not all) the possibility of a week gathering at Silver Wattle in Sept/Oct 2019 for Quakers deeply involved in Peace Social Justice issues over many years



After some discernment Catherine and I have decided instead put in a proposal for a one day Winter School for the suggested group of people

We felt a day Winter School and not the week was in right order at this stage

I hope this has not disappointed people



I just thought I would keep you in the loop as I had mentioned this to a few of you



If the Winter School proposal is accepted you may be interested in attending

Theme: Renewal- Reflections on those with long term Quaker concerns

Who: For Quakers deeply involved in Social Justice Peace Issues/ Concerns for many years

What will we explore:

1. How have Quaker processes helped your Concern?

2. How has our support been from Q?

3. What has worked? What could be improved?

4. Sharing how we care for our soul/ spirit/ physical selves challenges with this?

How: Discussion and Worship Sharing

Winter School is RENEWAL

Winter School 2019 will be at The Friends School Hobart on Sunday 7th July. Friends who would be willing to facilitate a group for Winter School 2019 are invited to contact David Evans (SANTRM) and/or Ron Frey (Tasmania RM) for inclusion of your intended activity topic in the program. Please include a short description of your group activity (30-50 words). At this stage, you will not register for Winter School, but will be invited to do so closer to Yearly Meeting.
